You would think microsoft technicians are very knowledgeable but I guess there are good and bad in everything.
I had called microsoft for technical help because I was having issues with my sp2. He informed me he could fix this problem and for me to reboot the computer and once it started booting up to keep pushing f2. Well I did what he told me and ended up ( which i now know as windows bios) he told me where to go so my computer would be faster. I did what he said and all of a sudden my computer crashed. He then told me my time was up and hung up on me. I
Needless to say I called back and told the person what had happened. They ask me for his name and the time i called, which i gave them and they said "i see here he put you were very satisfied" I told her no and i wanted to report this. I got a manager on the phone and after days of him investigation he told me I would be compensated for my aggravation . I said you fried my computer and mother board something better be issued soon. He assured me and about a wk later I received my compensation. A hat and a coffee cup. I was outraged and proceeded to contact my attorney. Well to make a long story short I ended up filing a claim with microsoft.
Well the day of court presented my case and they presented theirs and low and behold I won. Not only did i get compensated for my computer, I also got compensated for the trouble i had been through ( mental anguish)
So yes you can sue a major company and win. Just be honest, tell your side of the story, and above all look the judge in the eyes. LOL.
